We had Grayden's birthday party the weekend after his birthday. We really lucked out again with the weather, it was cool, but sunny. We borrowed a friend's toddler bounce house and brought out every toy with wheels that we had =) The original idea was to have the bounce house and toys in the backyard, but thanks to some rain earlier in the week our yard was a disgusting, muddy mess. So we went the klassy route and put it in the front yard and set up tables in the garage again. Don't be jealous of how awesome we are.
The party theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It's one of Grayden's favorite books. So favorite in fact, that I can't find the book. We had all of the same foods that the Hungry Caterpillar eats for our party. We improvised a little on some of them and had subs from Subway, but mostly everything else was from the book.
It was a good party. A long day for the parents, but absolutely worth it. Gary and I did decide, however, that we're probably not going to do parties at home anymore. The New Guy might have his 1st birthday at home, but my lands having a kids party is stressful! =)
