Christmas Eve 2010 was far different from last year, in the most fabulous way.
We spent the day running some last minute errands and relaxing at home. We had a nice steak dinner and then we baked cookies for Santa. We didn't do massive amounts of homemade cookies this year. Instead we opted for the toddler friendly (and free thanks to coupons!!) pre-made balls of cookie dough.
We didn't make it to church this year either =( When Gary went outside to start the grill for dinner it was sprinkling. By the time our steaks were done the rain was blowing sideways and the neighbors reindeer were twirling down the street. We decided that it was awful cold and nasty outside and since we've all been battling some sort of cold for the past couple of weeks, it would be best if we stayed home.
Grayden wrote his letter to Santa, put the cookies and spinach (for the reindeer of course!) on the plate and is tucked into bed. It's way later than his normal bed time (thanks to a late nap in anticipation of the midnight church service), so I'm hoping he'll sleep in a little bit tomorrow!
